MY STORY

Hi there... Let me say hello; my name is Jaya, and I'm from Indonesia. When you read this, I really hope you will trust me when I say that this is not a coincidence. You have chosen to read this message for a purpose, and I think that everyone has the desire to improve the world in their hearts.  In summary, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer by a doctor in December 2023, just before Christmas, due to a wound and bleeding on her right breast. After preparing for a medical checkup, she underwent breast removal surgery on December 27th.

My mother experienced pain in her right chest (surgical scar) and difficulty moving her hands after the procedure, she didn't poo for about 3 weeks (difficult to defecate), hemorrhoids, and her nerves in her waist are pinched, so she feels pain when she walks. I think this is a difficult point in my life. After that, My mother and I went to the doctor in late April for a routine checkup. The doctor told me that I need to start medication and have a PET scan. I'm confused now because all of the fees are too expensive.

As a child, I had committed my entire time to caring for him, which required me to quit working. As a result, i'm currently unemployed (more than 10 months) and experiencing financial troubles. Her surgery and treatment has consumed all of my funds, and I need more money for unpaid debts and future bills. With deepest humility, I would like to request your assistance in paying my beloved mother's post-breast cancer surgery recovery. The funds will be used to purchase healthy food, fruits, vitamins, and prescriptions, as well as to cover doctor visits, PET scans, and operating expenditures.

With great hope and humility, I dare to ask for your help in these difficult times for my beloved mother, and I feel burdened due to our financial limitations. On the website fundsupport.org, I am dedicated to raising funds to support my beloved mother's cancer cure. No matter how small, your help means a lot to our family in these difficult times. Thank you for your concern, prayers and donations.

ABOUT

Breast cancer is a complex disease characterized by the abnormal growth of cells in the breast tissue. Let's delve into the intricacies of breast cancer from a medical perspective.

  1. Cellular Origin: Breast cancer typically originates in the milk-producing glands (lobules) or the ducts that transport milk to the nipple. These cancerous cells can invade surrounding tissue and spread to other parts of the body through the lymphatic system or bloodstream.

  2. Risk Factors: Various factors can increase the risk of developing breast cancer. These include genetic mutations (such as BRCA1 and BRCA2), family history, age, gender (though it can occur in men, it's more common in women), hormonal factors (early menstruation, late menopause, hormone replacement therapy), lifestyle factors (obesity, alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity), and exposure to radiation.

  3. Types of Breast Cancer: There are several types of breast cancer, classified based on where they originate and their characteristics. The most common types include:

    • Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS): Early-stage cancer confined to the ducts.

    • Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC): Cancer that has spread beyond the ducts into surrounding tissue.

    • Lobular Carcinoma In Situ (LCIS): Abnormal cells in the lobules that may indicate an increased risk of developing invasive cancer.

    • Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC): Cancer that begins in the lobules and invades surrounding tissue.

  1. Symptoms: Breast cancer symptoms can vary but may include a lump in the breast or underarm, changes in breast size or shape, nipple changes (such as inversion), nipple discharge (other than breast milk), and skin changes (such as dimpling or redness).

  2. Diagnosis: Diagnosis typically involves a combination of imaging tests (mammography, ultrasound, MRI) and tissue sampling (biopsy) to confirm the presence of cancer and determine its characteristics.

  3. Staging: Breast cancer staging helps determine the extent of the disease and guides treatment decisions. Staging is based on factors such as tumor size, lymph node involvement, and metastasis (spread to distant organs).

  4. Treatment: Treatment options for breast cancer depend on various factors, including the type and stage of cancer, as well as the individual's overall health and preferences. Treatment may include surgery (such as lumpectomy or mastectomy), radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.

  5. Prognosis: The prognosis for breast cancer varies widely depending on factors such as the stage at diagnosis, the subtype of cancer, and the individual's response to treatment. Early detection and advances in treatment have significantly improved survival rates for breast cancer patients.

  6. Prevention and Screening: Regular screening, including mammograms and clinical breast exams, can help detect breast cancer at an early stage when it's most treatable. Lifestyle modifications, such as maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol consumption, and avoiding hormone replacement therapy, may also reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.

Understanding the complexities of breast cancer is crucial for early detection, effective treatment, and improved outcomes for patients. Ongoing research continues to enhance our knowledge and refine treatment approaches in the fight against breast cancer.
